Workshops

A NEW VIEW

Helping young people see the world differently through photography.

My photography workshops are designed to inspire young people to get creative, explore their surroundings and see the beauty in everyday life.

Through photography, we explore storytelling, self-expression and the little things that make us happy. It's an opportunity to step away from the pressures of everyday life, discover a new perspective and build confidence through creativity.

No experience needed, just curiosity and an open mind.

Every photo tells a story - and so does this video. Press play to see some behind the scenes & what my workshops are all about - creativity, connection, and a whole lot of inspiration!

Staff Feedback

At Youthreach Celbridge, we were absolutely delighted to work with photographer Grace Halton as part of the Creative Schools Initiative. Grace was incredibly engaging, and her warm, relaxed personality helped her build genuine connections with our students. This gave them the confidence to try something new and really enjoy the learning process.

Grace facilitated a two day introductory photography workshop, which our students loved from start to finish. They were so proud of the amazing photographs they captured around our local area here in Celbridge. Grace brought not only her skill and experience, but also a wonderful sense of fun that made the whole experience memorable for everyone involved.

Grace’s photography workshop was brilliant from start to finish. Our learners absolutely loved every minute of it and really got stuck in. Grace has a great way of making everyone feel comfortable and confident, regardless of their experience.

She was a pleasure to have in the centre and brought plenty of energy, enthusiasm and creativity to the day. The feedback from our learners was fantastic, and they are still talking about the experience. We would highly recommend Grace and would love to welcome her back again.

Grace delivered an outstanding 3-4 day photography workshop for our students, which exceeded all expectations. The workshop was engaging, innovative, and full of energy, making it both educational and enjoyable. Grace’s expertise as a facilitator was evident throughout – she created a supportive and inspiring learning environment. Her approach was professional yet approachable, and she shared a wealth of valuable skills and creative ideas with the students. Grace's patience, meticulous organisation, and professionalism truly stood out, leaving a lasting impact on everyone involved. I highly recommend this workshop to any youth group, school, or community centre looking to introduce photography skills or provide a valuable boost to amateur photographers. It's a fantastic experience for anyone looking to grow their photographic abilities.

Grace provided creative and fun workshops that she was more than willing to tailor to our needs. Her hands on, experiential learning approach suited students of all abilities and levels of interest. Her professionalism, enthusiasm and genuine interest in our students and their work was obvious throughout the project. By the end of the programme each student had developed basic photography skills, written reflectively about the process and created an individual piece of work to be proud of.

Grace was an absolute delight to collaborate with. She integrated herself beautifully into the community of Ballynacarigy, Co.Westmeath. Grace was so adaptable and flexible in her facilitation towards the group that ended up being in an educational setting within a country primary school. The children had such an incredible experience and are keen to have this opportunity brought back again in the new academic year. We would gladly work with Grace again in our family resource centre and we wish her every success on her future endeavours. Many thanks again, a very successful experience.

We had hired Grace to run a week long workshop with a group of young people between the ages 14-18 years.
